Tickets for him and three family members for an extremely attractive home Champions League duel with Barcelona and then a trip to Cyprus with the stitched-up club. All this was earned by the nineteen-year-old, who scores one goal after another for Mokré, for winning the first edition of the Denik Football Personality poll. “I really liked it. I was in the Champions League for the first time in Barcelona and now with Slavia in Cyprus. It was like a dream. I’ve never experienced anything like it,” he gushed. “I got awfully close to football at the highest level. It was great.”
But the match itself did not go well for the Prague club and the result was rather cruel defeat 1:4. “The first half was perfect from Slavia’s side. It’s just a shame about several unconverted chances. If they had resulted in goals, the match would probably have looked different. The second half was affected by Béř’s quick dismissal,” recalls the flash red for Jan Bořil. “That was a crucial moment for the game. Then it didn’t go as well as we would have liked,” he admits.
Of the players in the red and white jersey, he was most impressed by the author of the only goal, defender Štěpán Chaloupek. “You could feel a lot of self-confidence from him and the match was really good for him. In addition, he also scored a goal. It’s a shame that he had to substitute at half-time due to an injury,” Alex liked the performance of the young full-back. “I also liked David Douděra, how he filed the line.” On the contrary, Jan Bořil disappointed him. “He only played four minutes, but his intervention on the red card affected the game a lot.
Football Personality Diary she saw with her own eyes both of Slavia’s last matches in the Champions League. The results were similar (with Barcelona 2:4on Paphos 1:4), but it is said that they cannot be compared at all. “It was completely different football with Barcelona. That match was very successful for Slavia. Barcelona has a lot of stars and the boys from Slavia were probably more motivated and wanted to show themselves, which they did. It wasn’t like that against Pafos,” he admits.
The surprise was a beautiful, but rather small stadium for the Champions League, which can hold less than eleven thousand spectators. “The stadium was very similar to the one in Hradec Králové. Smaller, but beautiful, new. We had ideal seats, the view was great, the stadium was pleasant. However, I expected more spectators. That the stadium would be packed for the Champions League, and it certainly wasn’t. Quite a few people came. I didn’t expect that,” the young man from the south of Bohemia was surprised that the capacity of the small stadium was only half filled. The official figure states 5109, which is a normal visit for the Czech highest competition. “Slavic Tribuna Sever, however, classically provided an excellent atmosphere. It was great,” he emphasizes. “They have my great respect for coming such a distance in such numbers, even though it wasn’t so much at stake in the Slavia match.”

Petr Alexa also met the great Slavic personality Vladimír Šmicr, who was part of the expedition. “He was terribly pleasant. An amazing fighter who doesn’t play for anything. At the same time, he accomplished so much. He had no problem even with a joint photo,” he praised. He met coach Jindřich Trpišovský in Eden directly in the cabin of the first team as part of the announcement of Osobnost Deník. “He congratulated me on the win. He was also very nice and I really appreciate that,” he added.
He was watching one big football person on the lawn. The Pafos jersey is worn by Brazilian star David Luiz, who at one time was one of the best stoppers in the world. Still a very hairy fighter at the age of thirty-eight, he is still one of the best footballers. “It’s not quite the same speed-wise, but he still plays excellently and it was a pleasure to watch him,” he acknowledged.

Alexa was on the team of partners Slavia, for which the club prepared an interesting program. It included a day trip on Tuesday. “We were in Kourion, which was an ancient Greek city-state. We visited a home-made dessert factory. The lady showed us how the sweets are made, and of course there was also a tasting with possible purchase, so I brought something home,” he smiles. “In the afternoon we were at the port in Paphos and in the evening there was a partner dinner. It was very nice. At the beginning I was a little afraid, as I was there alone, that I would probably be a bit pushed away, but we quickly got to know each other and I felt very comfortable there,” he does not hide.
A trip to Cyprus with Slavia is considered a lifetime experience. “I’ll definitely remember it for the rest of my life. It could have been a bit better football-wise,” he smiles. “But overall a really extraordinary experience. I would like to thank Slavia and Deník that I could be a part of something like this,” he concluded.
