THE final match of the first round of the 2025/2026 Championship League between Persiku vs Persipura Jayapura at the Wergu Wetan Kudus Stadium, Friday (30/1) afternoon, Mutiara Hitam managed to beat the host Laskar Macan Muria 1-2 and managed to occupy the top of the standings.
The first half had only been running for 6 minutes when there was a corner kick towards the Persiku Kudus goal which was blocked by goalkeeper Riki Pambudi, causing chaos in front of the goal mouth and an outside block towards Artur Jesus Vieira who was on the edge of the goal without guard and immediately launched a hard shot to the right side which resulted in a goal.
The referee had time to check the VAR to confirm the goal, then validated the goal and changed the score to 0-1 for the visiting team Persipura Jayapura, even after being superior Mutiara Hitam managed to control the game even though Laskar Macan Muria was still trying to respond to the resistance from the visiting team.
Persipura Jayapura even managed to add a goal again in the 24th minute, but Reno’s goal was not approved and the score returned to 0-1, behind the score Persiku Kudus still had difficulty scoring an equalizer, until towards the end of the second half at 45+3 minutes Mutiara Hitam managed to score the second goal.
Until the referee blew the halftime whistle in the match starting at 15.30 WIB, the visiting team Persipura Jayapura, who controlled the first half of the match, still had a 0-2 lead over hosts Persiku Kudus.
Entering the second half, Imam Bagus, who had just entered, put the first pressure on in the 54th minute, but unfortunately his shot still deviated to the right of Goalkeeper Adzib Al Hakim’s goal and the next attack came again in the 58th minute but still couldn’t change the score.
Persiku Kudus only opened the scoring in the 68th minute with a free kick from Caique Sousa from the middle of the field which was met by a header from Imam Bagus to change the score to 1-2, Persipura Jayapura player Artur Jesus even got a yellow card after pulling Igor Costa who was heading towards the goal.
Until an additional 8 minutes in the second half, Persipura striker Ramai Rumakiek almost scored an additional goal after receiving a pass from a corner kick, but until the referee blew the long whistle the position remained 1-2 in favor of the visiting team Mutiara Hitam.
Due to this victory, Persipura Jayapura managed to occupy the top of the standings while the Championship League has 37 points with 11 wins, 4 draws and 3 losses, while Persiku Kudus is in 7th place with 15 points with 4 wins, 3 draws and 11 losses. (US)
