Persib vs Persija: Cesar & Reijnders Injury Update

Persib Bandung has the potential to lose two of its mainstay players, Julio Cesar and Eliano Reijnders, when they face Persija Jakarta in the second half of the BRI Super League 2025/2026 on January 11 2026. These two players are now on the verge of being banned from playing due to accumulated yellow cards.

Currently, Julio Cesar and Eliano Reijnders have collected three yellow cards. If one of them receives another yellow card in the match against Persik Kediri on January 5, both of them will certainly miss the crucial match against Persija.

Facing this situation, Julio Cesar stated the importance of being careful in the field. He admitted that he would make extra efforts not to add to his yellow card collection, especially if coach Bojan Hodak trusted him to appear in the closest match.

“Yes, I have to be careful coach Bojan dropped me in the next match. “Because after this, there will be a very important match against Persija,” said Julio Cesar on Monday (29/12/2025).

Even though the threat of sanctions is looming, Julio emphasized that the team’s main focus at the moment is the match against Persik Kediri. He emphasized a “step by step” approach in facing each match.

“But what we have to do is focus first against Kediri, we are facing a match step by stepwe have to win this match,” he said.

Full attention will be paid to eternal rivals, Persija Jakarta, only after the match against Persik. However, Julio did not deny that he had to be more disciplined on the field to avoid yellow cards which could rule him out.

“Only after that did we start thinking about Persija. But, I have to be careful with this card,” he stressed.
