Ivan Perisic is eager to return to Internazionale. Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano reported this on Friday. Although PSV does not appear to be participating in a transfer at the moment, the Croat’s agents are currently in Milan.
It Eindhovens Dagblad reported on Thursday that Inter is interested in the services of Perisic. It was indicated that PSV does not want to let the veteran go and would demand a ‘gigantic amount’ from the Italian top club. Despite this, Romano believes the transfer could still happen.
According to the journalist, Perisic’s wish is certain. “Perisic would like to return to Inter. His agents will be in Milan in the coming days, but PSV is not open to a transfer at the moment,” says Romano on his Italian YouTube channel.
However, he has not ruled out a turnaround and qualification for the next round of the Champions League could be essential. “After the last two Champions League games, Inter can try again. PSV still does not want to let him go, but Inter does not have to pay a large amount,” said Romano.
At Inter, Perisic would have to accept a different role. While he is a ‘star player’ at PSV, he will have to settle for a more serving role in Milan. “The relationship between the player and the club remains good, but this transfer is not up to Perisic or his agents. It is entirely up to PSV,” Romano concludes.
