How was the game
Palmeiras opened the scoring after six minutes of the game, with Victor Gabriel. The number 11 received a cross from the left side of the attack and headed the ball into the net.
In the 16th minute of the second half, Hiago scored for Vitória. He received it inside the area on the right wing and finished with a cross to fill the net.
Vitória turned the score around in the 33rd minute. Gean took a risk from distance and hit goalkeeper Aranha’s corner. Two minutes later, Juan Gabriel left everything the same for Palmeiras.
The equality was short-lived, as Alejandro scored Vitória’s third in the 39th. Two minutes later, Victor Gabriel scored again for Palmeiras to take the decision to penalties.

Penalty controversy
Goalkeeper Aranha partially saved Gean’s shot, but the ball continued towards the goal before being grabbed by the Palmeiras native. Controversially, the referee did not award the goal to Vitória. Copinha does not offer VAR technology.
