Palmeiras 2026 Pre-Season: Squad Returns

The Palmeiras squad performed again on Sunday night (04), at the Football Academy, and began the 2026 pre-season. After dinner, the players began preparation and received guidance on the battery of medical exams and evaluations that will be carried out this Monday (05). The overnight stay will be at the Palestine center of excellence.

The alviverde team debuts in the Campeonato Paulista against Portuguesa, at 8:30 pm on Saturday (10), in Canindé. The state tournament will have a new competition formula and distribute the eight rounds of the first phase in a pot model – the teams will all face each other within each pot and against some teams from other pots.

The Greatest Champion of Brazil is in Pot A alongside Santos, São Paulo and Corinthians. In the first phase, Verdão also faces Portuguesa, Mirassol, Grêmio Novorizontino, Botafogo-SP and Guarani – the best eight advance to the quarterfinals, in a single game. The semi-finals will also be a single match and the final will be round-trip matches.
