Il President Paul Matiasic expressed all his pride in the result achieved, thanking the Trieste public for the continuous support and passion shown: “Waiting for the official data released today by the LBA was a formality, certainly important, but which only proves what in my heart, in our hearts, we already know: in Trieste there is the best audience in Italy! Being behind only Milan in terms of average attendance in the stadium for the second year makes me extremely proud of what we have managed to build in such a short time. I want to thank every fan, every family, all the people who make such an important story possible every day. None of this comes by chance and nothing should be taken for granted. We work constantly to offer all our fans a show of the highest level in a safe environment suitable for everyone: thanks to this we once again establish ourselves there, at the top in Italy. Thanks Trieste.”
Also along the same lines General Manager Michael Arcieriwho wanted to underline the extraordinary value of the data and the uniqueness of the bond between Trieste, its fans and the team: “I join the words of President Matiasic, thanking all the fans who allowed us to confirm second place in Italy for attendance at the stadium again this year. I would like one thing to be clear: this is an EXTRAORDINARY result. Because it is not common to be able to do it for the second consecutive year, just as it is not common to do it in an area that is decidedly less populated than other teams. Your passion and love for our colors is uncommon! Trieste’s support embraces all generations, managing to create a sense of community that I have never seen before and that does not exist in any square in Italy. Thank you to everyone who works to make this possible, especially our wonderful employees and staff, whose dedication and tireless efforts are nothing short of extraordinary! We are custodians of something special! GO TRIESTE!”
The season now continues with the aim of continuing to grow, on and off the pitch, in a path that sees the public, team and club moving in the same direction.
