A solid attitude for a calm and smooth match for Reggio Emilia, which without too much effort carries out the task of ferrying the team to the next phase of this FIBA Europe Cup with a victory with two rounds to spare, combined with that of Bosna which eliminated Oradea from the race. Too bad for the public who deserted the race (not even 1,400 spectators).

First quarter
At the tap-off, Reggio Emilia fields Brown, Caupain, Woldetensae, Severini and Williams; Zagreb responds with Brzoja, Sare, Daniels, Vrankovic and Kalajzic. Priftis’ team immediately took control of the pace of the match: intense defense, orderly attack and an 11-6 lead halfway through the first period. Cedevita ends up 16-8 down and Una Hotels remains firmly in command, with an already large rotation – ten players employed and six on target. A few too many turnovers at the end of the quarter do not change the momentum: in the 10th minute the scoreboard reads 19-12.
Second quarter.
Zagreb tries to show a little more aggression, but after a brief moment of difficulty Reggio immediately puts things back on track thanks to triples from Rossato – the first points with the red and white shirt – and Vitali, who push the margin up to +12. Reggiana continues to control without finding particular opposition from Cedevita: a solid match, without tears but without risks. This brings us to halftime at 43-28.
Third quarter
Una Hotels responds blow for blow to Cedevita’s attempts, even if it quickly ends up in the bonus. Under the basket Echenique imposes his physicality and the margin widens to +23. Pesut calls a timeout to try to stop the red and white inertia, but upon returning the Colombian center immediately gets a block that extinguishes any attempt at a reaction. Priftis continues to rotate his men, but the script does not change: the advantage remains firmly above twenty lengths. In a somewhat chaotic final, the teams reach the third buzzer at 61-42.
Fourth bedroom.
The match proceeds without particular emotions towards the final siren: Cedevita tries to at least limit the damage by reducing the margin, while Pallacanestro Reggiana lowers their shooting percentages a bit. In fact, we are only waiting for the result to be defined, because Zagreb stopped believing in it too soon and Una Hotels can manage without worries. The match thus ends with a clear 83-60, a success that is above all worth access to the quarter-finals of the FIBA Europe Cup.
PREVIEW.
The UNA Hotels is looking for this evening, in the FIBA Europe Cup roundthat victory against the bottom of his group L, the Cedevita Junior, which would mathematically give her the passage of the round to the decisive phase heading towards the final of the tournament. In the first leg in Croatia, last December 10, 2025, Reggiana won 90-94, but that’s not a good reason to lower your guard against a group of young people who will arrive with their heads free from too many thoughts with zero in three games in the rankings. Continental debut therefore for Brown Jr., a addition that seems to have also benefited the performance of Troy Caupain and the group.
Where to play: at the Palabigi in Reggio Emilia, Wednesday 21 January 2026, tap-off at 8pm.
