Palencia
Chema González seems to have played his last minutes with Super Agropal Palencia. In December 2022 he tore his Achilles tendon training and since then he has barely been able to participate regularly in team play. This same season, at the end of October, he suffered what at first seemed like a sprained knee but that injury has continued to give him trouble and this weekend he was not able to participate for a single second in the two Cup games. In the league he has barely been able to play just over ninety minutes in all the games and his absence leaves the pivots available for Lezkano at only two. Everything indicates that Palencia and Chema will reach an agreement and will have a substitute for the remainder of the season. It must be taken into account that he is one of the four mandatory places that the team has and that the substitute must be Spanish like him or have the required years of training in Spain to be considered as such. Although as Urko Otegui said today on Radio Palencia “while Kunkel’s injury we could incorporate someone and Oliver, the kid who is with us, has a record with the first team and is the fourth place.”
Adam’s injury is minor but it seems that it will still take a while for him to return and the sports director is exploring the possibility of signing, even temporarily, an outside player.
There is a deadline to sign any player until February 28. And then, and until March 31, only players who have not had a license with the Spanish Federation this season can be signed.
