Canary Islands Basketball Club “Spar Gran Canaria” presents its new coaching staff.

The club officially announces the presentation of its new coaching staff for the remainder of the season, reaffirming its commitment to sporting growth, youth team work and the consolidation of the first team project.

The new staff will be headed by Mr. Pablo Melowho will assume the position of head coach, providing extensive experience for this team, whose career stands out for his work as a coach in different sports clubs on and off the island.

Achieving several promotions, among others, in his more than 10 years of experience. Working alongside him will be a technical team made up of qualified professionals fully involved in the sports project, since they have belonged to this house since its inception:

Second coach: Loly Monzón, promoted as a junior to the first division in León at the beginning of the club, has been a first team player for 8 years and always linked to the youth team.

Team representative: Laida Saavedra, for just over 5 seasons, has been a first team player, being linked to the club since its sporting beginnings.

During the presentation ceremony held in La Paterna today afternoon, the board stressed that this new coaching staff represents a decisive step to strengthen the team’s identity and aspire to new goals.

The head coach stated: “Our main objective is to improve training by training and match by match, above all to regain the confidence of the players.” Likewise, “I thank the previous coaching staff for the work done and I hope to achieve the objectives set by the board.” The presentation was accompanied by members of the fans, management and media.

With this addition, the Canary Islands Basketball Club “Spar Gran Canaria” opens an exciting new stage and faces the remainder of the season with renewed energy.
