Melbourne – Qualifying for the Australian Open came to an extremely unpleasant end for Sebastian Ofner. In the second round, the Styrian lost to the American Nishesh Basavareddy 6:4, 4:6, 6:7, although he had already thought he was the winner in the match tiebreak of the third set. After the point made it 7-1, Ofner celebrated the supposed advance and walked to the net before the chair referee sent him back to the baseline. The problem: The match tiebreak is played to ten points.
