Novak Djokovic Withdraws From PTPA | Statement & Update

Novak Djokovic decided to put an end to his stay in the PTPA. The Association of Professional Tennis Players, which brings together the 500 best in the world at ATP and WTA level, was founded by the Serbian and Vasek Pospisil in 2021. However, the former world number one issued a statement and withdrew from the union.

Through his social networks, the Serbian stated: “After careful consideration, I have decided to fully withdraw from the PTPA. This decision follows ongoing concerns about transparency, governance, and the way my voice and image have been portrayed. I am proud of the vision Vasek and I shared when we founded the PTPA, giving players a stronger, more independent voice, but it has become clear that my values and approach no longer align with the current direction of the organization.”

Djokovic He concluded by saying: “I will continue to focus on my tennis, my family and contributing to the sport in ways that reflect my principles and integrity. I wish the players and everyone involved the best in the future, but for me, this chapter is closed.”
