Normandy Football Club: 85th Anniversary & Legends Match

The football club of l’USAOhas Aunay-sur-Odon (Les Monts d’Aunay), in Calvados, is preparing to experience a highlight of its history in 2026: they are 85th birthday.

On this occasion, a very special day of celebration will be organized Saturday June 27bringing together all the players who have made and kept the club alive since its creation.

This project was presented during the steering committee on Thursday December 11, 2025, and “aims to bring together players, managers, volunteers, parents, partners and former licensees around a simple, festive and friendly event, reflecting the values held by the USAO for 85 years.”

A gala match, with the emblematic figures of the club, is being prepared

From 2 p.m., the site will open its doors with a musical atmosphere, a refreshment bar and entertainment stands. Current licensees will be able to participate in fun football workshops accessible to all ages: juggling, penalty shootouts and technical courses. Details of the rest of the afternoon program will be presented early next year by the club.

At 7:30 p.m., a gala match will begin, pitting former players and emblematic figures of the USAO against each other, a symbol of the transmission and history of the club.

The members of the 85-year-old steering committee will thus activate their networks and contacts in the coming weeks to constitute two teams of 11 players, with substitutes and leaderswho will face each other during this prestigious poster.

At the same time, catering will be offered to allow the public to enjoy the evening. The festivities will continue with a concert outdoors, a tombola equipped with lots bearing the image of the USAO, before a festive closing at 11 p.m..

A unifying day, open to all

Invitations to former presidents and officers will be sent in January. The day will be open to all.

More than an anniversary, this event is intended to be a unifying moment, celebrating the history, memories and values of the USAO, while looking resolutely towards the future.
