NK Badminton 2026: Almere Qualifiers – Fierce Competition

In the women’s singles qualifying tournament, first seed Maureen Zewald recorded three easy victories to reach the main tournament. Leonie Rovers caused a small surprise and eliminated second-placed Florine Wille in the first qualifying round, twice 21-19.

Doubles

In the men’s singles, the numbers one and two on the placement list managed to qualify for the main tournament. Berend van Brenk (1) and Jelle Vet (2) made no mistake in the qualifying tournament.

In the mixed doubles, first seeded Noah Jongen / Iris van Leijsen managed to reach the main tournament. The duo Ties van der Lecq / Flora Wang (2) won 21-12 and 21-14 against Steef van Wooning / Robin Bakker and will also be in the top sports hall on Saturday.

In the women’s doubles qualifying tournament, the expected couples, Veda Diemel / Chloe Li (1) and Romy de Laak / Xandra Stelling (2), managed to advance to the main draw. In the men’s doubles, the first two seeded couples, Lennart Bijkerk / Bart Hoksbergen (1) and Jan Hansen / Rik Hermans (2), also grabbed a ticket for the main tournament.
