Nicolas Féraud: World Championships Role Ends

Nicolas Féraud has resigned from the Organizing Committee of the FIS Alpine Ski World Championships Crans-Montana 2027. According to a press release from the municipality, the president of Crans-Montana wishes to devote himself fully to municipal management and the management of the crisis linked to the tragedy of January 1, 2026.

“My priority is to do everything possible so that the families of the victims obtain answers and that Justice can determine the responsibilities of each person,” Nicolas Féraud reportedly declared when submitting his resignation.

The Municipal Council took note of this decision and proposed Sébastien Rey, municipal councilor in charge of sports, to succeed him. This candidacy was validated by the Steering Committee of the Association of Municipalities of Crans-Montana, which recommended his appointment as vice-president of the Organizing Committee.
