Coach John Harbor (64), who stepped down as head coach of the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens, is popular.
According to ESPN, an American sports channel, on the 11th (Korean time), Coach Harbor, who resigned from Baltimore on the 7th, received calls from seven NFL teams expressing interest within 45 minutes after being fired. Currently, the NFL has vacant head coach positions for the Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, Cleveland Browns, and Las Vegas Raider. In particular, the Miami Dolphins, whose connection to Coach Harbor is being discussed, recently fired coach Mike McDaniel.
It is reported that Coach Harbor plans to select 3 to 4 teams prior to full-scale negotiations. Coach Harbor, who ranks 12th in NFL history for the most wins among coaches (193 wins), is a master coach who led Baltimore to the Super Bowl victory in 2012. However, they remained at 8 wins and 9 losses this season. Since Coach Harbor took over, this is the third time in history that Baltimore has fallen below the .500 winning percentage, following 2015 (5 wins, 11 losses) and 2021 (8 wins, 9 losses). It was a result that was almost shocking as it was evaluated as a strong candidate to win the Super Bowl before the opening ceremony. After his dismissal, Coach Harbor said, “It was not an easy decision, but I am grateful for all the moments and years we spent together, and all of these memories will be remembered forever.”

“Harbor is what I believe is a Hall of Fame-caliber leader who has been a pillar of humility and leadership while leading Baltimore to Super Bowl victories,” said Baltimore owner Steve Bisciotti. “He and his family are deeply rooted in this community, and we will all be forever grateful for his great contributions both on and off the field.” ESPN predicted that Harbor would go to the New York Giants immediately after his dismissal.
