Neuer Future: Bayern & Germany Plans Revealed

Will Manuel Neuer extend his contract again or will the Bayern goalie end his career at the age of 39 in the summer? The 2014 world champion spoke about this himself at a meeting of the “Emertsham” fan club in Tacherting.

During a question and answer session, Neuer made it surprisingly clear: “With the contract extension it looks like this: I have a positive attitude towards the whole thing.” The exchange with the club is going very well, says Neuer. “But I want to wait and show good performances over the next few months, then the decision will be made towards the end of March and April.”

Until then, Neuer wants to see how his body is doing. “I’d like to give it a little more time! Then we’ll see whether it continues or not.”

The 39-year-old had to sit out recently due to a torn muscle fiber, but has now returned to team training.
