NEC hopes to strengthen itself with the Nigerian Sani Suleiman. The 19-year-old left winger from AS Trencin in Slovakia is being followed by many clubs, but the people of Nijmegen are also said to be keeping an eye on him. However, his price tag seems to be out of reach of the red-green-blacks.
According to The Telegraph has NEC targeting Suleiman. ‘Sources around NEC report that lender Marcel Boekhoorn wants to stunt with the arrival of Suleiman, but the competition is fierce.’ The attacker would also be followed by clubs from Spain, Germany and England.
Suleiman has scored three times in twelve matches in the Slovak league this season. He also provided two assists. The club wants a high price tag for the Nigerian: between seven and eight million euros. Suleiman can play on both sides and has also played several international matches for Nigeria under 20. In the 2023/24 season, the Nigerian played in his own country for Akwa United. He was accurate eleven times in nineteen matches, with two assists. Trencin then brought him to Europe.
