Dennis Schröder and the Sacramento Kings have suffered their next defeat in the NBA. The bottom team in the Western Conference lost significantly 93:112 to the Boston Celtics and had to accept their eighth defeat in a row. World and European champion Schröder had a wasted day at the TD Garden. The Braunschweiger only managed four points and only hit one of his eleven attempts from the field.
The Orlando Magic won furiously. Without Franz Wagner (ankle), who was still injured, the team from Florida won against the Toronto Raptors 130:120 thanks to an outstanding final quarter. After the third period, Orlando was down 86:99, and with 44 points in the fourth quarter, the Magic narrowly missed the franchise record (45 points in 1994 in Charlotte). Tristan da Silva contributed eight points in over 22 minutes to the second win in a row, Moritz Wagner scored one point in just under three minutes of action.
LeBron and Doncic are convincing for the Lakers
Maximilian Kleber and the Los Angeles Lakers could once again rely on Luka Doncic. The Slovenian had already secured his triple-double at halftime, and in the end he had 37 points, 13 assists and eleven rebounds in a 142:111 win over the Washington Wizards. LeBron James also impressed with 20 points, and Kleber scored four points in five minutes off the bench.
The New York Knicks around Ariel Hukporti celebrated their fifth success in a row. The team from the Big Apple beat the Portland Trail Blazers 127:97 and remains in third place in the East. Hukporti had two points and two rebounds in four minutes.
Nikola Jokic made a strong comeback in Denver. The Nuggets’ Serbian superstar put up 31 points and twelve rebounds in the 122:109 win against the Los Angeles Clippers after a 16-game injury layoff.
