The Italian sports movement is clearly growing and various federations are working to improve their product. As reported by Repubblica, the federation has confirmed that the transformation of the Foro Italico is planned by 2027, a path that would allow Rome to host NBA events and who knows one day even have a team in the capital. And now the tennis center is destined to become an arena with a capacity of 13,500 seats with a facility that could host tennis, basketball and large concerts.
The start of the works should arrive in the summer, between June and July, and involves an investment of over 60 million euros. And in general a series of works are planned which should concern the entire district around the fields. The federation underlines how important it is to first invest in structures and so Rome wants to align and bring it on par with other European capitals, already quite advanced in the sector.
