This season, Ajay Mitchell reached a new level with the Oklahoma City Thunder and was rewarded with a selection to participate in the NBA All-Star weekend. The All-Star is one of the great events in American basketball, with several matches and competitions bringing together the elite of the NBA. Mitchell will participate in the NBA Rising Stars Game which is a sort of tournament bringing together the 28 best prospects in the league (with rookies and players in their 2nd year of the NBA).
In his career, the Liège guard has currently averaged 14.1 points, 3.7 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.42 steals in 26.3 minutes per game. Since October, he has largely contributed to the best start to the season in Thunder history (37 wins for 10 losses).
Unfortunately, he injured his abdominal muscles recently and missed his team’s last two matches. This year, All-Star weekend will take place from February 13 to 15 in Los Angeles. Ajay Mitchell will therefore do his best to treat his injury and participate in the event.
This would be a first for him. Last year, Toumani Camara had been selected pour ce NBA Rising Stars Game.
