Heracles Almelo is busy with the arrival of Naci Ünuvar. Ernest Faber, both trainer and technical director of the club, confirmed this to ESPN on Sunday.
Faber will be in De Kuip on Sunday, where he will play the away match against Feyenoord with Heracles. Just before kick-off, the trainer and TD speak to ESPN. “Is it true that Naci Ünuvar is on his way to you?” Hans Kraay Jr. asks. him suddenly. “In any case, he lives close by, so that’s nice,” Faber replies.
The 22-year-old Ünuvar is still under contract with neighbor FC Twente until mid-2028, but hardly gets around to playing there. “We are looking at all considerations to strengthen ourselves even further,” continues Faber, who has held the dual role in Almelo since the end of last year.
“I have the information that he is on his way to you,” Kraay Jr. continues. further. “That would be nice. He is welcome. We are in discussions with various players, but I can only give certainty once everything has been signed. That is all I can say for now.”
Heracles could use a creative impulse. The relegation candidate is currently eighteenth in the Eredivisie. Ünuvar went through the youth academy of Ajax, and later played for Espanyol and Trabzonspor.
