Motagua debuted in the Clausura tournament of the National League and it was with a victory at home and with its people against Platense on matchday 2, all this on the field of the National stadium.
Those led by Javier López had a few more days of rest since on the first day it was the team that was waiting and it was good for them.
With goals from their new signing Romario Luis Da Silva and another from John Kleber Oliveira da Silva who came from the bench to make his presence felt, they were enough for the blues to overcome a brave shark that played a great game but were not fine on the last line.
On a cool night, with a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius, Motagua took advantage and in addition to winning, left good feelings for their fans because the idea of the game they had was clear with attacks on both sides and with great precision with the passes.
The first goal of the game came in the 26th minute after a great play on the right wing by Jefryn Macias who took the mark to be able to center, Rodrigo de Olivera, who was the surprise in the starting 11, took the defender and Da Zilva closed at the second post to send it to save.
A well-deserved victory for Motagua in the Nacional, in the second half they extended the lead to close out the win and it was in the 74th minute that John Kleber headed in after a cross from the right by Jordan García to seal the match.
With this victory, Motagua conceded its first three points in the tournament, while Platense remains with one since it tied on the first date against Victoria.
An important game is coming up for the blues since on Sunday they visit an inspired Real España that has won its first two matches, that will be at 5:15 PM on the Morazán stadium field, for its part the sharks have to rest on the third date.
