Morumbis Cabin Sales: Police Operation & Illegal Activity

The São Paulo Civil Police carries out an operation, this Wednesday (21), against a scheme of illegal sale of boxes at the Morumbis stadium, of São Paulo Futebol Clube.

Four search and seizure warrants were executed. Among the targets are Mara Casares, ex-wife of former president Julio Casares, and Douglas Schwartzmann, assistant director of youth football at São Paulo.

Rita Adriana, who would be responsible for commercially exploiting a bed during Shakira’s concertin February 2025, according to the police investigation, is also among the targets of this Wednesday’s operation.

Civil Police agents are currently carrying out searches at addresses linked to those being investigated. The case is investigated by the 3rd Precinct of the Division of Investigations into Crimes against the Administration (DPPC).

On December 15, 2025, audios revealed by “ge.com”, between Schwartzmann and Ritarevealed the alleged scheme of irregular commercialization of boxes at the São Paulo stadium. At the time, the defenses stated that the material was released out of context and claimed early judgment.

The case resulted in Mara Casares’s departure from the position of events director in Octoberand also supported the impeachment process of Julio Casares from the position of president of the São Paulo club, last Friday (16).

Box scandal

According to the content of the audios obtained by “ge.com”, cabin 3A, identified in internal documents as “presidency room”would have been passed on to an intermediary, Rita by Cassia Adriana Pradoresponsible for commercially exploring the space during singer Shakira’s show in February.

Tickets were sold for up to R$2,100, with estimated revenue of R$ 132 thousand only in this presentation at the São Paulo stadium.

The situation took legal shape after Adriana filed a lawsuit in the 3rd Civil Court of São Paulo against Carolina Lima Cassemiro, from Cassemiro Eventos Ltda.

Adriana alleges that Carolina withheld, without authorization, an envelope with 60 box tickets on the day of the showafter partial payment of the agreed amount. The case was also recorded in a police report.

In audio, Schwartzmann shows concern about the consequences of the judicial process and states that the scheme could be revealed to the courts.

In several sections, he pressures Adriana to withdraw the action, warning of possible damage to the image of Mara Casaresby Julio Casares and superintendent Marcio Carlomagno, cited as responsible for authorizing the transfer of the box.

The manager also admits, at a certain point, who “gained” from the transfer of cabins.

Mara Casares, in turn, appears in the recording asking Adriana to end the process to avoid harm to her career at São Paulo Futebol Clube. The director claims to have future plans in São Paulo and says that she would be the main loser if the case progressed through the courts.

In the process, Adriana says that Carolina took from her hands an envelope with 60 tickets from box 3A at Morumbis, on February 13, without authorization. She claims that the tickets were purchased by Carolina’s company for R$132,000, but only R$100,000 was paid.

Adriana registered a police report at the 34th Police Station, in São Paulo. Therefore, she was pressured by the others involved. Phone records were recorded and accessed by “ge.com”.
