Monitor ERP Arena Capacity: Brynäs Update

Brynä’s audience trend has turned upwards – and nowadays it is often almost full in the Monitor ERP Arena.
After a renovation of the arena, the association can now say that it has increased the audience capacity in the home arena.

Since the reconstruction of the fourth floor in the Monitor ERP Arena, the audience capacity has increased. As Gefle Daily have previously been able to tell, it has been difficult to determine how much the capacity has been able to amount to with the new conditions.

But now announces the club in a PM that they have figured out what the new listing for full-time in the arena is.

“I’m glad it’s a thing of the past”

It increases by 331 spectators from 7909 to 8240.

– I have learned that earlier there were discussions about screening off our third floor as the audience trend was declining. I’m glad it’s a thing of the past. We have very proactively conducted dialogues with our supporter clubs and at the same time, with diligent work, were able to invest in several new surfaces in the arena, which led to an expansion of the audience capacity. So it really feels fantastic to be able to announce the new audience capacity, says Jakob Westerlund, commercial manager.

Club director Håkan Svedman told yesterday Gefle Daily that Brynäs reports the number of spectators who show up, not whether it is sold out or not. A question that has been debated in Swedish hockey for a long time.
