Monaco won in front of its home crowd during the 20th day of the EuroLeague, beating Partizan with a score of 101 to 84.
Monaco’s top scorer was Alpha Diallo with 14 points, followed by Nikola Mirotic and Matthew Strazel at 13 points each, Mike James and Daniel Theis at 11 points, and Jaron Blossomgame with 10 points.
On the other side, Sterling Brown was the main contributor for Partizan with 19 points, while Cameron Payne added 13 points and five assists.
Partizan has still not tasted victory since the arrival of Joan Penarroya, at least in the EuroLeague. Monaco continues its excellent form, stringing together a fourth consecutive victory thanks to solid team play.
The game was essentially decided at halftime, with the score reading 43-25 near the middle of the second quarter. Although Partizan managed to narrow the gap towards the end of the third quarter, the hosts easily repelled the comeback and secured victory without much drama.
Monaco now has a record of 13 wins for 7 losses, and on the next day, last season’s EuroLeague finalists will visit Valencia. On the other hand, Partizan remains last with a record of 6-14, and their next match will take them to Virtus Bologna.
