The Paisas quintet wants to be the protagonist of the Basketball Champions League Americas (BCL) that starts next week at the Iván de Bedout and to achieve this they were reinforced with an ex-NBA and two World Cup teams, among the six foreigners they will have on the roster to face the international tournament.
The list is led by the young American Michael Miles Jr, who had a stint in the NBA in the Houston and Dallas teams and also shone in the G League. Additionally, he has been part of the United States quintet.
Michael is 23 years old, is 1.87 meters tall and plays as a point guard. As mentioned by Raúl Pabón, Sports Director of Paisas, “he stood out notably during his time in the NBA and the G League”, in the same way, he highlighted that “among his strengths, he has a great capacity for assembly and precision in scoring, something that will be very important for the team.”

Along with the American Michael Miles Jr, there will be his compatriots Brandon Weatherspoon, Eric Crawford and Jonathan Lamar, who have already played with Paisas, being two-time champions of the Professional League in Colombia with the Antioquia quintet.
Also arriving to reinforce the quintet were the Puerto Rican Jared Ruiz, who has played with the Nicaraguan national team, and the Venezuelan Luis Miguel Bethelmy, who has been champion of the Champions League twice, and has been part of the Venezuela World Cup team.
Along with them will be the Colombian Jhon Chiquillo Hernández, with experience and who has been champion in the League several times with teams such as Titanes and Caimanes and has also played in the Champions League.
The roster is complemented by Colombians José Lozano (captain), Leyder Moreno, David Ojeda, Soren de Luque and Luis Almanza.

Paisas is part of Group A, along with Caimanes del Llano and Astros de México.
In the first window, the teams will face each other home and away on six dates that will define the first two who will qualify for the quarterfinals.
Those led by Daniel Seoane will start at home this January 27 and 29 against Caimanes on the first date and then against Astros de México, both games at 7:40 p.m. at the Iván de Bedout.

Then, Paisas will have to travel to Villavicencio for the duels scheduled for February 2 and 3, and later they will go to Mexico to face the duels on February 10 and 11.
The first two in the group will advance to the round of 16, a phase that will take place in March. Then the move to the quarterfinals will be played and then the Final Four, among the best four.
In the last edition of the American Champions League, Paisas advanced to the quarterfinals, a phase in which they were eliminated by Flamengo, who ended up being crowned champion.
