The club is borrowing Frölunda’s JVM forward Max Westergård, 18, according to Sportbladet’s information.
The Finnish forward is already ready to play in Björklöven’s home game against table runner-up Kalmar on Wednesday in the Hockey Allsvenskan.
The loan is valid for the rest of the season, but Frölunda has the right to call him back if necessary, Sportbladet learns.
Extraforward i CHL
Max Westergård was extra forward in Frölunda’s CHL victory away to Brynäs on Tuesday evening.
The 18-year-old had his breakthrough at senior level in last year’s SM play-offs. This season, he has played 15 SHL games, but has yet to be recorded for any points for the league leader.
Played JVM
In the J20 team, there have been 21 points in 12 games and Westergård was noted for four points in seven games for Finland in the JVM recently.
He goes from one league leader to another, as Björklöven tops the hockey Allsvenskan. The Umeå team recently chose not to extend the short-term contract with forward Sebastian Wännström, 34.
The summit with Kalmar has drop-off at 19.00.
