Marc Márquez Training 2026: Fall & Aspar Circuit Prep [VIDEO]

We followed the Spanish champion’s training live on the track near Valencia for two days. The 93 was together with his brother Alex, David Alonso and other drivers

Guadassuar, Spain – I spent two days in Guadassuar, near Valencia, to find out what it is like and what is done there Aspar circuit (a video will be released!), which has become famous in recent times because many pilots come to train here, including i Marquez brothers.

Here I saw it live, in the garage, a few meters away Marc and Alex training. But before the story let’s start from small fall that Márquez had. I didn’t see it live because I wasn’t on the circuit at the time, but, for get an idea, you can see for yourself the fall in the video below.

Márquez’s fall

It was one small fall without consequencesa simple slip, so much so that Marc returned to the track shortly after, just enough time to fix a damaged footrest.

Marc was riding his Ducati Panigale V2 all red. It is known that Marc usually trains not with thousands, but with smaller displacement bikes (in Honda he used the CBR600).

Marc is recovering from the injury suffered in Japan, in the accident with Bezzecchi, but the crash at the Aspar circuit had no consequences. He will make his debut on the GP26 Ducati in the Sepang tests, scheduled for 3 to 5 February.

See Marc and Alex Márquez train

Cnecessary things: the Mercedes van parked outside, in the garage (it couldn’t be photographed, ed.) two carpets for motorbikes, one with 73 and one with 93, a Spartan table, two plastic chairsa Ducati Panigale V2 red with 93 and one Yamaha R6 blue with 73. Nothing else.

Paganini apparently said: “If I don’t play one day I notice it, if I don’t play for two days the public notices it too.”

The same argument – perhaps – applies to Marc Marquez: you have to train on a motorbike everydayor as much as possible. So the two brothers left Madrid again (or rather, Marc arrived from Madonna di Campiglio) and on 22 – 23 January they took to the track on the Aspar circuit.

Laps after laps together with other world championship riders like David Alonso, Maximo Quiles, Filip Salac, Marco Morelli.

Marquez he seemed calm and in a good mood, I saw him laughing and joking with his brother and with Quiles, who is one of his pilots. Both Thursday and Friday the Marquez brothers ate very simply rice with chicken breast (arroz con pechuga de pollo, in Spanish), I know because I recognized the package that was on sale at the circuit restaurant and that I also ate today: athlete lifethey will have been 70-80 grams of rice and 120 grams of chicken.

Marc lapped the track following Alex and David Alonso, then I saw him lap alone for a long time. Aspar’s trail is long 2.2 km and is full of curves and changes of directionperfect I would say for understanding the physical conditions of a pilot, given the many movements to be done. Of course the Panigale V2 is an excellent bike, but it’s not a MotoGP, it’s not as demanding as the MotoGP and the small Valencian circuit is the same. To really understand how’s 93 we will have to wait for the Sepang test.
