Loaned this season to Torino, Cyril Ngonge does not convince there any more than in Naples. However, he could count on interest.
In January 2024, Naples spent 20 million euros on Cyril Nyongeauthor of a good half-season with Hellas Verona. A little madness because the Belgian was then valued at 6 million euros, and subsequently did not confirm his good intentions.
After 35 matches and 3 goals, Ngonge was sent on loan to Torino last summer. But this season either, the Red Devil (one cap) is not convincing with one goal in 23 games. However, his loan could be cut short.
Ngonge towards FC Porto?
According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, FC Porto would indeed consider attracting Ngonge on loan with an option to buy until the end of the season. Option which could even be made obligatory under certain conditions.
Torino are reportedly ready to end the loan prematurely, as the striker has so far failed to deliver what was expected. The Italian club recruited him this summer at the request of coach Marco Baroni, but his impact remained limited.
FC Porto could therefore put 15 million euros on the table next summer to acquire the services of Cyril Ngonge on a permanent basis. Lazio Rome would also be on board. This shows that the Belgian striker’s rating remains high despite a difficult period…
