The Citizens actually also failed to achieve optimal results in the last three matches. Even so, they were able to get four points from one draw, one loss and one win.
Man City pillar, Bernardo Silva, admitted that his team had not been consistent. However, Arsenal failed to take advantage of this condition to move away from the top of the standings.
This makes Man City’s hopes of overtaking Arsenal high again. Moreover, the London Cannon has a bad history of facing the title race towards the end of the season.
Arsenal in the last three seasons failed to win even though they had topped the standings. They only finished in third place in the last three seasons in a row. The Gunners have not ended their Premier League title drought since 2003/2004.
Man City continues to maintain its hopes of winning the Premier League this season. Remembering that the rest of this season is still long.
“They could have distanced themselves further from us, but they didn’t, so they gave us a little hope,” Bernardo was quoted as saying Dailymail.
“Liverpool have won two league titles and we’ve won six in my time in England, so I’ve never seen Arsenal win the league.”
“The reality is that currently they are in a better position than us. There are still many games to be played and every season is different. Without a doubt, we still have hope and ambition to fight for the Premier League,” he explained.
