Indonesian women’s singles badminton player, Putri Kusuma Wardani, paved the way for Wang Zhi Yi to make the All China Final happen at the Malaysia Open 2026.

JUARA.NET – Indonesian women’s singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani, stopped in the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Open 2026 after being defeated by Wang Zhi Yi.

Putri KW failed to overcome Zhi Yi’s resistance at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Friday (9/1/2026).

The 23 year old badminton player surrendered two straight games to Wang Zhi Yi with 21-17, 21-18.

Putri gave resistance at the start of the first game.

In fact, the PB Exist alumni had excelled in passing netting charming, 1-0.

Not long after, Zhi Yi responded with a cross, 1-1.

The two badminton players continued to share the numbers up to 8-8.

Zhi Yi’s solid play made Putri KW confused before the interval.

Five points just flew away leaving them behind 13-8.
