Maicon de Souza: Borneo to Semen Padang FC Transfer

Padang (ANTARA) – Semen Padang FC’s hunt for foreign players continues and has entered the final stages.

Finally, the name Maicon de Sauza da Silva joined the Kabau Sirah team. Borneo FC’s right wing in the second round of the BRI Super League will wear the Semen Padang FC costume.

His name has been announced on the official Semen Padang FC website. He will be part of the game scheme designed by coach Dejan Antonic for the second round.

Borneo FC’s official social media also conveyed farewell words and thanks to Maicon. “Borneo FC Samarinda and Maicon have agreed to end their cooperation contract for the 2025/2026 season. Thank you and good luck in your next career journey.”

Maicon was born in Brazil and is now 29 years old. The player plays as a right and left winger. Throughout the first round with Borneo FC he played 15 times, scoring 2 goals and 3 assists.

His presence at Kabau Sirah adds to the list of foreign players at the club whose average age is 29-30 years. He is expected to be able to help the Padang team escape the relegation zone and stay in the highest caste of the competition.
