January 16 (Reuters Arabic Sports Service) – Paulo Banquero scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Orlando Magic defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 118-111 in the first game of the regular season of the NBA, which was held in Berlin last night.
The Magic recovered from a 20-point deficit thanks to their brilliance in the third quarter.

This victory carried a special taste for the German-born players Franz Wagner, Mo Wagner and Tristan da Silva, returning to appear in their hometown.
Jaren Jackson Jr. scored 30 points for the Grizzlies, who lost for the seventh time in the last nine games.
In another match, Klay Thompson came off the bench to score six three-pointers on his way to scoring 26 points as the Dallas Mavericks beat the Utah Jazz 144-122.

Substitute Anfernee Simmons scored 18 of the 39 points he scored throughout the game, at his highest rate this season, in the fourth quarter, as the Boston Celtics won 119-114 over the Miami Heat.
Shaydon Sharp scored 24 points, grabbed nine rebounds, and provided five assists to his teammates to help the Portland Trail Blazers win 117-101 over the Atlanta Hawks, achieving their sixth victory in eight games.
Duncan Robinson led a team effort and scored 19 points as the Detroit Pistons defeated the Phoenix Suns 108-105.
Chet Holmgren scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder’s 111-91 victory over the Houston Rockets.
Victor Wimbanyama scored 22 points and had ten steals during three quarters, as the San Antonio Spurs defeated the Milwaukee Bucks 119-101.
