The Chilean midfielder will leave the preseason this Thursday to travel to Europe. He will continue his career at Pisa in Italy.
What Gustavo Quinteros feared so much ended up being confirmed in the last few hours: Felipe Loyola will no longer be an Independiente player. The 25-year-old Chilean midfielder will emigrate to Pisa in Italy, which plays in Serie A, in an operation that was closed verbally this Wednesday afternoon.
For this reason, the midfielder did not add any minutes in the last friendly against Everton and will leave the preseason immediately to travel to Europe and seal his bond, leaving a significant void in the starting lineup after having played 62 games with the King of Cups shirt.
The transfer was structured through a particular economic engineering that ensures Rojo an important income. The Italian club will acquire 70% of the pass through an initial loan of 1,350,000 euros, a bonus of 150,000 for attainable objectives and a purchase obligation of 5,500,000 euros after playing just five games.
As Independiente shares the pass in equal parts with Huachipato, Avellaneda’s coffers will net some 3.5 million euros, leaving also a purchase option of 4.5 million for the remaining 30% and a possible capital gain for future sale.
Given this sensitive loss, Quinteros is already working on assembling the team without his “engine” in the middle. The coach trusts in the club’s material and points to the youth players Lautaro Millán and Mateo Pérez Curci as the natural variants to accompany Rodrigo Fernández Cedrés, without ruling out the return of Ignacio Malcorra to that area.
However, the departure of Loyola, added to the departure of Federico Vera to Huracán, forces the leadership to move quickly in the market: the coach has already formally requested the arrival of a right back and a center forward to compensate for the lost hierarchy.
