RAAL has officially announced the departure of Maxime Pau. The French midfielder joins Lokeren, in 1B.
In recent days, Maxime Pau was about to leave. In competition with Joël Ito, he hardly played this season. As a starter at the start of the season, he had lost his place by the beginning of September and started only 2 of the last 17 games.
Majeed Ashimeru’s loan transfer has further complicated his situation. RAAL therefore looked for a solution for him. This became concrete this morning, after several days of negotiations: Pau is now a Lokeren player.

The 25-year-old from Lille has signed a contract until June 2028 in Daknam. The Waaslanders tried to strengthen themselves in midfield after the departure of Radja Nainggolan from Patro Eisden.
Maxim Pau leaves La Louvière after four seasons with the Loups and can be proud of the path he has made: when he arrived from the French fourth division for 15,000 euros, the RAAL was still in Nationale 1.
He was one of the architects of the two promotions to the first division, with 19 goals in 82 games, and he is also the one who gave the team its last home victory to date by scoring in extra time against Cercle Brugge.
