There is a good chance that Kostas Tsimikas will wear the Liverpool shirt again soon. The Reds are in extensive negotiations with AS Roma about an immediate stop to the rental. This is reported by Fabrizio Romano, as well as several reliable media.
The fact that Liverpool is in the process of terminating Tsimikas’ loan does not come out of the blue. Andy Robertson, one of the left backs at Anfield alongside Milos Kerkez, is heavily linked with a winter transfer to Tottenham Hotspur. In the event that the Scottish club hero leaves, a replacement is needed.
Tsimikas is seen as a more than capable candidate. The Greek left wing defender still has a contract with Liverpool until mid-2027. Last summer, Arne Slot and co. the former player of Willem II at Roma, but in Italy Tsimikas does not really come into his own.
Roma are said to be willing to break the lease and send Tsimikas back on a plane to England. “It has already given the green light,” Romano wrote. Tsimikas transferred from Olympiacos to Liverpool in the summer of 2020. The back has played 115 games for the English champions to date.
