Six months after his departure from Limoges CSP, where he had signed an aspiring contract, Dorian Rinaldo-Komlan (2.06 m, 18 years old) sparked during an American tournament between several prestigious programs. Guest with the Spire Academy at John Wall Tournamentnamed after the NBA superstar who organized it, the French interior left with its hands full: with the tournament trophy and the title of MVP of the competition.
The product of the Limogeaude team had a direct impact on the results of his program, facing several prospects expected in the first round of the next NBA drafts (Obinna Ekezie, etc.). He had 15 points and 9 rebounds in the semi-final, before repeating it in the final against the Southeastern Prep of Jaxon Richardson, son of former NBA player Jason Richardson.
Dominating his opponents physically and athletically, he then brought 14 points and another 9 rebounds to Speyer, while continuing to average 3 interceptions in the competition. In addition to lifting the trophy, his performances earned him the title of tournament MVP, under the eyes of legendary NCAA coach John Calipari, and former NBA star John Wall of course.

Intense in defense and endowed with multiple qualities offensively, Dorian Rinaldo-Komlan revealed himself last season in the jersey of Espoirs de Limoges, where he averaged 11.5 points at 55% success and 4.8 rebounds in 18 minutes. While the CSP offered him an aspiring contract in January 2025, he chose in the summer to join the Spire Academy, which has previously welcomed Lamelo Ball.
Position 4 now shows an ability to adapt to the NCAA game which will serve him well next season. In fact, he has already announced his commitment to Iowa State for 2026. His long-term objective is no secret to those around him: « the NBA after 1,2,3 or 4 years of NCAA. No matter how long it takes”.
