Leganés Signs Asué: Shenhua Forward Joins on Loan

He Leganes has announced by surprise the signing of Luis Asueinternational forward born 24 years ago in Blurry (Equatorial Guinea) that will reinforce the attack from Shanghai Shenhua de China. The operation has been closed through transfer with a purchase option (no figures from the agreement have been disclosed) and has immediate effect. The striker trained this Wednesday in the closed-door session held by the pepineros and will be presented shortly. He will wear number 12, one of the two that was free.

Asué arrived in China last summer from Moreirense. According to the site Transfer marketthe operation It cost Shenhua 650 thousand euros, with whom he has a contract until 2027. In the ranks of this Portuguese team, now in the first division of the neighboring country, Asué had scored six goals and six assists between the League and the Portuguese Cup. Among his victims, the Portagainst whom he scored at the beginning of last season. With his current club he had scored seven goals, distributed between the First China (4 goals), the Asian Champions League (two goals) and the Chinese Cup (one goal).

With the possibility of also playing as a winger, the signing of Asué reinforces one of the priorities that Leganés had expressed as one of its priorities. ANDThe club wanted to recruit a striker who would improve the scoring rate that, especially before the Igor Oca era, had suffered from low productivity. Furthermore, after the departure of Miguel de la Fuente, and although Andrés Pardo -sports director- had slipped that no ‘9’ could be signed if nothing was found to fill the club’s eye, there had been a vacancy to fill. Asué is the one who completed it.

Interference in the Forés case

Now it remains to be seen what consequences this signing has on the rest of the cucumber planning and in the case of Alex Forés. Although, except for surprise, it is normal that he does not sign for Leganés. As AS has been reporting, Leganes and player had an agreement since last December, but the refusal of Oviedo’s owner to let him leave had made an operation for which Leganés seemed willing to wait uphill.

Now, with Asué in the template, It seems more than complicated for the player’s wish and that of the club itself to be fulfilled. Even so, there is still market time left and Leganés has a free chip although, on paper, it was reserved for a right back with Clement Michelin as the player who had the most votes to occupy the position.
