NBA superstar LeBron James became emotional upon returning home and cried during a timeout in Cleveland. The 41-year-old basketball player for the Los Angeles Lakers was honored by the Cavaliers during a break with a video that honored the 25 points that he scored for Cleveland in the fifth game of the Conference Finals against the Detroit Pistons in a row in 2007, leading his team to a decisive victory. James, who grew up near Cleveland, played twice for the Cavaliers in his career and went from there to the Lakers in 2018.
James was unable to lead his team to victory in what was possibly their last guest game in Cleveland. The Lakers lost 99:129, James scored eleven points. Luka Doncic scored 29 points and was the best point collector of the game, but Donvoan Mitchell was able to celebrate a Cavaliers victory thanks to his 25 points. James has left it open as to whether he will continue his career beyond this season. In Cleveland, he and his son Bronny James, who scored eight points for the Lakers, were celebrated by fans of both teams.
However, there was another win for the Orlando Magic. After four recent defeats, the Magic won 133:124 against the Miami Heat. World champion Moritz Wagner scored three points, European champion Tristan da Silva scored 12 points for Orlando. The best thrower was Paolo Banchero with 31 points for the Magic, who still had to do without national player Franz Wagner, who injured his ankle.
