Another 13 teams are already guaranteed in the knockout stages, but they don’t know if they will go straight to the round of 16 or if they will have to go through the first playoff. They are: Atalanta, Atlético de Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester City, Newcastle, PSG, Real Madrid, Sporting and Tottenham.
At the other end of the table, four teams are already eliminated: Eintracht Frankfurt, Kairat Almaty, Slavia Prague and Villarreal. The others still have chances, even if slim, of at least a place in the playoffs for the round of 16.
Five champions can be embarrassing and reach the last round with a chance of being eliminated. Benfica and Ajax are the most threatened — they are outside the classification zone and are on track to fall. Olympique de Marseille, Borussia Dortmund and PSV live with the risk, but, for now, they are qualifying.
