At the end of Lazio-Napoli 0-2 the report cards of our director, Guido De Angelis, arrive – as usual.
PROVEDEL 6 – The goals from Spinazzola and Rrahmani only needed a miracle, he didn’t do it. He has to thank Elmas, who devours two goals scored one meter from the goal.
MARUSIC 5 – He always presses on the goal in the defensive phase, he is null in the offensive one. He makes Elmas look good and in the end he tries to take the law into his own hands with Mazzocchi and is surgically expelled.
GILA 4.5 – Hojlund suffers tremendously, without being able to move him. Unfocused in the penalty area, both on Rrahmani and Elmas, who hits the crossbar. Ditto in the second half. In recent weeks he seems to have pulled the plug. Moreover, its renewal never arrived either.
ROMAGNOLI 5.5 – He tries to do what he can and save what can be saved. The only one to withstand the attack of Napoli, he tried to keep us afloat without great success. Certainly the best of the rearguard.
PELLEGRINI 5 – Politano runs away from him throughout the match and provides an assist for Spinazzola’s 0-1. Always out of position in the second half. Bad game.
GUENDOUZI 5.5 – The only chance of our match was his crossbar in injury time, when we were already down to nine men. Not the usual aggressiveness, I don’t think he was distracted too much by the market. He loses a lot of duels and is overall disappointing.
CATALDI 5 – In his worst match of the season, he makes a lot of mistakes in the first half, but is also poorly supported by a midfield paved by Conte’s rivals. Zaccagni also has some responsibility for the lost ball which resulted in the 1-0. It often fails.
BASIC 4.5 – The gap between his opponents and his homework attempts is almost endearing. Today he returned from a double disqualification, no one noticed. He’s not to blame, but when the level gets so high the Croatian is floundering.
CHANNELERS 4 – A real disaster. He collects errors when coming out and in the defensive phase he never holds onto Spinazzola, who scores a goal and risks scoring two more identical ones. Tactically suicidal, he misses every play in his match. He doesn’t have the maturity to play these matches yet. And we knew it from the beginning anyway.
NOSLIN 4 – He elbows as best he can between Napoli’s centre-backs and at the start of the match he tries to head the ball into the small area instead of finishing as a centre-forward which – after all – he is not. It causes the punishment of the Neapolitan doubling, which does not exist: pushed by the rival, his touch of the hand would not be punishable. He tries to fight for all the balls, he ends up making a bad impression. Naive on Buongiorno, a very strict Massa sends him off: on Wednesday we will be without attackers.
ZACCAGNI 4.5 – The worst of the season also for the number 10, anticipated by Di Lorenzo on the goal that opened the game and often sloppy in the exit. He gets nervous with the match director and is practically never seen in the opposing half of the field. Not a dribble, not a cross, not a shot or a play. An obvious step backwards.
SARRI 6 – Between the African Cup, injuries and suspensions, today the gap with the Italian champions is abysmal. Clearly he doesn’t have even an ounce of guilt.
The changes
LAZZARI 6 – Enters the match compromised and tries to make some moves.
BELAHYANE 5.5 – Twenty minutes and you wouldn’t think so.
ISAKSEN SV – A blocked acceleration, stop. Not judgeable.
PEDRO SV.
