The Lanester Badminton Club is on the rise. The club is still benefiting from the 2024 Olympic Games effect and the excellent individual results of these high-level bad players. “We have 171 members, almost 20 more than last year. It’s a very good progression, showing the dynamism and attractiveness of our club,” indicates Camille Le Gohlisse who brought together her members for the new year on Wednesday January 14, 2026 evening.
This meeting was an opportunity to launch a sponsorship system: adults will be able to sponsor young people, on a voluntary basis. The objective is that everyone can accompany the other in a competition and follow them throughout the year. We want to create links, promote the integration of our young people because the future of the club is youth,” says the president.
Brittany Championships, in Lanester
Several events will mark the year 2026. Starting this Sunday, January 18, with a championship day for the pre-national team, at home. The night tournament, already sold out, will take place on February 27. The club will then organize a youth tournament on March 8, its national tournament on June 13 and 14, and finally for the first time, the adult Brittany championships on June 20 and 21.
The year 2026 will also be marked by a change of president. Camille Le Gohlisse, pre-national player, decided to leave her place, after five years of presidency, two at the Lanester Badminton club and three when the club was a section of the Lanester Secular Home.
