Kustić & Mikša: Hungarian FA 125th Anniversary Celebration

President of the Croatian Football Association Marijan Kustić and honorary president Branko Mikša participated in the 125th anniversary celebration of the Hungarian Football Association (MLSZ) in Budapest.

Kustić highlighted the long-standing connection between the two football organizations: “It is our pleasure to join this beautiful celebration of the great anniversary of the Hungarian Football Association, an association with which we have had excellent, friendly relations for many years.” He added that throughout history, Hungarian football has made “great achievements”, and its legends go beyond European borders.

They are at the ceremony, along with the host – the president of MLSZ Covenant Csanyija – were also the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbanpresident of Fifa Gianni Infantino and the first man of UEFA Alexander Ceferin. The presence of the leading people of world and European football further emphasized the importance of the jubilee.

Kustić announced that HNS will continue to “nurture excellent relations between the two federations”, thus confirming the intention of further cooperation on sports and development projects.

The celebration in Budapest with the gathering of the top of football politics and the top of the state confirmed the status of Hungarian football as one of the historical pillars of the game in Europe, and the Croatian delegation gave symbolic support to its neighbors and partners in the important jubilee.
