The KSG had a successful start to the new year in the 2nd district ranking of active participants on January 18, 2026 in Stuttgart. First the singles were played, then the doubles.
In the DE A, Lara Gerlach dominated the field of participants. With two wins in the group of four and a success in the club’s internal duel against Amelie Golbs, she confidently secured victory in the tournament. Amelie took third place after a defeat in the game for second place.
In HE B, Peter Weiß gained valuable experience in his first tournament appearance. He showed increasingly better rallies against strong opponents, but remained without a win.
Patrick Heimann, Frederik Wahl and Thorsten Schumann started in the strong HE A. After successes in the opening rounds, all three reached the quarter-finals. Frederik and Thorsten narrowly had to admit defeat there. In the subsequent placement games, Frederikim prevailed in a direct duel. After an intense semi-final victory, Patrick also won the final and won the tournament.
Lara Gerlach and Mui Berkemer were convincing in the DD A. They defeated the favored doubles in the opening game and didn’t lose a set on the way to winning the tournament.
Frederik and Thorsten competed in HD A. After two defeats and due to Thorsten’s knee problems, they had to end the tournament early.
