The last fight of Kristaps Zuš

Latvian wrestler Kristaps Zutis has announced the end of his professional career on social networks. His last professional fight is scheduled for February 21 at the upcoming “King of Kings (KOK) 128” event, which will take place at “Xiaomi Arena” in Riga. Zutis revealed on his “Instagram” profile that such a decision was made taking into account new challenges in his life, especially after the birth of his son, and the desire to devote more time to his family. The athlete stated that the long absence and injuries made the world of combat sports too stressful and difficult to combine with family life.

Multiple career endings and principles

This is not the first time that Kristaps Zutis publicly announces the end of his career. Similar announcements have been made before, including in 2020 and 2023, but the athlete has returned to the circuit each time. However, he expresses confidence that this time the decision is final. Zutis is also known for his principles – in September 2025, he refused his highest career fee of 40,000 euros to fight in Russia, stressing that his principles and integrity are more important than financial gain. He has won the belt of Latvian heavyweight champion and was once close to winning the Intercontinental belt of the World Boxing Federation (WBF).
