Kocēni “Rubene” celebrates the victory in Jogeva

Today there was one match of the Latvian and Estonian floorball league – the leader of the tournament table “Rubene” (Kocēni) on the opponent’s court with 8:4 defeated the team “Jõgeva SK Tähe/Olivia”. Kārlis Dūmiņš was the most productive among the Kočeni players with 3 (2+1) points.

The league leader “Rubene” took a 3-1 lead during the first period of the game held in the Jogeva sports hall. Matīss Celms, Ritvars Bērziņš and Māris Parts put the ball into the home team’s goal, while Rasmuss Randoja scored the only goal for the home team. In the second third, Kočeni floorball players doubled their advantage – 6:2. Rihards Avots, Kārlis Dūmiņš and Māris parts stood out with goals. At the beginning of the last period, the florblists of Jogeva reduced their deficit by half (4:6), but Kārlis Dūmiņš and Artis Matīss Fogels added a point to this battle with accurate shots, ensuring the victory of Kocēni “Rubenes” with 8:4.

The best player award was given to Matīss Celms, who had 2 (1+1) performance points. Two goals were scored by Māras Partas, but Kārlis Dūmiņš was the most productive with 3 (2+1) points. Aleksas Karkas, who scored one goal, was recognized as the best among the players from Yogyakarta, while Rasmuss Randoja was the most productive with two goals. After this victory, Kocēni “Rubene” secured the first place in the tournament table with 35 points, while “Jõgeva SK Tähe/Olivia” still has five points and the penultimate position.
