The commander on the court, whose hands and feet are becoming more and more in sync, performed flawlessly. Kim Nak-hyun (31), who is in his first season at Seoul SK, showed his presence as a key guard by preventing the team from losing consecutive losses.
SK won 95-81 in the home game against Daegu Korea Gas Corporation in the 4th round of the 2025-2026 LG Electronics professional basketball game held at Jamsil Student Gymnasium in Seoul on the 24th.
On this day, Nak-Hyeon Kim played very well, scoring 19 points, including 3 3-point shots (3/4), 6 assists, and 4 rebounds. He showed a near-perfect performance, recording a high-sensitivity shot with a field goal percentage of 64% and recording only one turnover.
Thanks to the leadership of Nak-Hyeon Kim, who cut through Korea Gas Corporation’s defense from the outskirts, the main gun was also excited. Offensive core Jamil Warney recorded a triple-double of 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists, and joined forces with Kim Nak-hyeon to lead SK to a complete victory.

Nak-Hyeon Kim met with reporters after the game and said, “It was a must-win game. The defense we prepared from the beginning was good,” and said, “As a friend, I am disappointed that Young-Jun Ahn is out due to injury. My goal is to hold on well until Young-Jun returns and compete for the final ranking together.”
On this day, coach Jeon Hee-cheol emphasized to the players before the game, “You must know how to win.” Regarding this, Nak-Hyeon Kim said, “Each team has a different defensive position, and the coach ordered us to target that area.” He added, “It seems like the players are now learning the timing of when to press and when to push.”
With the victory against Korea Gas Corporation, SK narrowed the gap with 12th place Anyang Cheonggwanjang (23 wins, 11 losses) to 3 games. Nak-Hyeon Kim said, “SK has a good attack success rate. If they reduce turnovers and maintain concentration, it is possible to fight for first and second place. In the past, there were times when we lost the game due to mistakes, but it seems like we are working together little by little.”

Kim Nak-hyun, who joined SK after the transfer of Kim Seon-hyung (Suwon KT), confessed that he went through the process of adjusting to the team’s unique fast basketball. Nak-Hyeon Kim recalled, “SK played very fast basketball, so I needed to get used to it. At the same time, I was stressed because I felt like I had to show my strengths as well. During the off-season practice games, I felt like I was left out of the team, but I put everything aside and tried to fit in with the team.”
In particular, regarding his chemistry with Warney, he explained, “Warney said he had never played with a guard of the same style as me, so we talked a lot. As a result, I can feel that the timing of fast breaks and passes are better than before. Currently, I score about 60 to 65 out of 100.”
Nak-Hyeon Kim then added, “There are still areas where we can improve. Next season, we will be able to show a flawless and cleaner look.”
