Kia Niro: Gas Engine Still Available | Modernized Design

The start of this year was particularly fruitful for the Kia brand. At the Brussels Motor Show, it presented several electric novelties, including the EV2 model and an expanded range of sport-oriented GT electric cars. But don’t worry, internal combustion engines have not been forgotten. Shortly after the event, the Nira facelift arrives.

The Niro model was among the first cars on our market that were offered in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric versions. Today, you would look for an electric car in vain, its role has been taken over by the similarly designed EV3. However, versions where the internal combustion engine still plays a role are still being counted on.

And it can be assumed that the European Niro will not be too different from the domestic one. The crossover adopted the style of the brand’s larger SUVs to better fit into the current modern model range. It also gets redesigned lighting, mask and bumpers.

The interior is more modern, it did not resent the traditional buttons.

The silhouette will certainly be familiar to you, let’s look for other changes at the back. Here we find a completely new (and significantly sleeker) trunk lid. The license plate has moved from it to a more traditional place in the bumper. So far, Kia has revealed only three photos of the beefed-up specification, which arrived on eighteen-inch wheels.

Inside we find two 12.3″ screens combined into one unit – one represents alarm clocks, the other multimedia in the middle. We can also look forward to richer equipment and more luxurious materials.

The stern is now considerably sleeker.

The brand will tell us more information in March of this year. However, we assume that the engine range will continue to include petrol sixteen-cylinders with full hybrid or plug-in hybrid assistance. Elsewhere in the world – where the EV3 is not sold – the Niro also continues as an electric car with a range of 407 kilometers.
