Kenko Gala Abruzzo 2007: News & Presentation

The press conference to present the “V Kenko International Youth Gala Abruzzo 2007” 3rd Mickey Mouse Baseball & Softball Trophy which will take place from 19 to 26 August 2007 in the municipalities of Atri, Chieti, Lanciano, Pescara, Pineto, Tollo was held this morning in Chieti, at the CONI Council Room. The numbers of participants from the last edition, held in Lombardy, have already been exceeded since the first registrations received, in fact the milestone of 1000 presences representing 14 countries has been reached.

Another record is that of foreign presences, the delegations of Hong Kong, Sri Lanka and Japan were added for the first time and the participation of nations such as Iran and Great Britain arouses curiosity. At the basis of the organization of the sporting event by the National Baseball & Softball Federation is the intention to educate about sport and promote certain values. Participating in a competition, in fact, does not just mean competitiveness, but comparison and meeting, in which cultural sense and sporting spirit come together for a common goal: fueling a passion.

In this sense, sport is an ideal conduit and has always had the ability to convey messages of mutual respect, loyalty and civil coexistence and the best way is to focus on young people.

This edition of the “Kenko International Youth Gala” Abruzzo 2007 which sees the birth of the 3rd Mickey Mouse Baseball & Softball Trophy focuses on the union of the sporting event with moments of play, music and entertainment, effective means of communication and marketing, capable of attracting a varied audience ranging from athletes to citizens, from the little ones to an adult audience.

The patronage of the event, for the Abruzzo Region, for the 3 Provinces of Chieti, Teramo and Pescara and for the host municipalities, allows the various institutions to be present in an international sports gala which involves the tourist, sporting, social, educational fields and to be participants in the organizational management of an event aimed at everyone and for everyone.
